A stroll along Lucca's medieval walls is just one of the pleasant activities you will enjoy while staying at Hotel Busdraghi, the most charming 4 star hotel in the city, housed in a historic palace in the heart of the historic center.

Hotel Busdraghi is located on Via Fillungo, a street filled with shops that will provide a rewarding shopping experience, near the Piazza dell’Anfiteatro and the Church of San Frediano.

Not too far away, continuing south, you can admire the Clock Tower, with its perfectly functioning eighteenth-century clock, and visit the birthplace of opera maestro Giacomo Puccini.

After passing the Piazza dei Servi, the splendid Cathedral of Lucca, dedicated to St. Martin, dominates an area that includes the small temple containing the wooden crucifix known as the Holy Face of Lucca (Volto Santo di Lucca), venerated for centuries.

The Caffè di Simo is one of Lucca's historic cafes, frequented in the past by artists and writers such as Verga, Pascoli and Carducci; It still has its late nineteenth century atmosphere, the same that can be found in the city's wine bars and restaurants, rich with inviting menus that offer Tuscan specialties.

Lucca's surroundings offer countless interesting sites, such as the Tobacco Factory (where the famous Tuscan cigar is produced), the splendid region of Garfagnana, the thermal baths of Bagni di Lucca and Versilia's neighborhoods. From Lucca you can also easily get to Florence - capital of the Italian Renaissance - as well as the Terme di Montecatini, Siena, Prato and the extraordinary Tuscan hills, a must-see for those who love agritourism and food and wine itineraries.
